An Announcement about St. James’ Easter Sunday Worship Service

There will be one Easter Sunday service at 9:30 a.m. on April 4. Registration for this in-person worship service on Easter Sunday is closed. There are several other opportunities for people to worship in person at St. James during Holy Week. The following services are still open for registration:

• Palm Sunday (9:30 a.m.)

• The Maundy Thursday Communion service (7:00 p.m.)

• The Good Friday Service (7:00 p.m.)

• Easter Monday Communion Service (6:30 p.m.)

To register for the Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday services, visit: bit.ly/stjamesgr. Registration is not required for the Easter Monday Communion service.

The Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday services, along with the Easter Sunday service, will be available on Facebook Live and later posted to the St. James’ website.

For those who are registered for in-person worship on Easter Sunday, please note the following:

1. If your plans change and you are not able to attend the Easter Sunday service, please call the office (616-363-7718) and let us know so that we can remove your name from the list of attendees.

2. There will be designated seating (like at our Christmas Eve services) so when you arrive, please check to see where you are to sit. This will allow us to have the registered worshippers at a safe distance from one another.

3. Wearing masks upon entering the church until you leave the church following the worship service is required with the exception being small children (2 years and younger) and people who have health conditions that prevent them from wearing a mask.

4. If you are not feeling well or are sick on Easter Sunday, please stay home.

5. Soap, water, and hand sanitizer is readily available in the church, so please use it.

6. Weather permitting, we will have doors and windows open for better ventilation.

NOTE: If the Kent County Health Department decreases its capacity regulations due to a spike in COVID-19 infections between now and Easter Sunday, we will have to take steps to offer two services on Easter Sunday. Watch our website page and Facebook page for any updates.
